Friday has arrived and the weekend is finally upon us! Question is, after being so healthy all week, how do you continue that into the weekend? Liquid calories can be one of the sneakiest and least thought of calories you consume. But have no fear, here are 2 great low cal drinks so you can stay on track and still enjoy a few weekend cocktails!
- Light Cosmo: 1 shot citrus vodka, 1 splash club soda, 1 splash cranberry juice, and the juice from 1 lime wedge. (Contains about 218 calories)
- Sangria: 4 apples and 3 oranges, sliced; 1 pound red grapes, halved; 3 bottles light- to medium-bodied red wine; 1 can diet lemon soda; and 1 can club soda. Chill mixture, and serve over ice, makes about 16 servings. (Contains about 173 calories, per serving)

Sweeteners Used In Diet Drinks
It seems that individuals all over the country are jumping on the ‘losing weight’ band wagon and attempting to discover healthy but delicious choices to contrasting foods and drinks that they consume. One of the biggest and probably most sold of these weight loss products are diet drinks. These are quite popular because they contain no fat.
Even though having no fat is essential the fact that they do not have any sugar is even better. Sugar is actually more damaging to individuals trying to lose weight because it can cause the metabolism to slow down and make it harder for it to process all the food that we eat up. If diet drinks do not contain sugar how are they so sweet?
