Over the past few years I have begun to notice a few things that were very surprising, or were they? I have noticed that several NFL prospects are beginning to go in other directions. It is not that they do not want to play football, they would just rather do other things with their lives. Take Florida State’s Myron Rolle, he would have been a first round draft pick last year, but he opted to become a Rhodes Scholar and missed his senior season to study at Oxford in England. I congratulate athletes who put other dreams in front of money. Yes, playing in the NFL could set someone up for life, but if they do not want to play anymore can we blame them? Most players have played since they were kids, their bodies are tired and some have lost the desire. As a former player myself, trust me, I can understand. I congratulate some of these players. Could you pass on millions of dollars
if you lost your desire?
